(1) A Service Commission consisting of the following members shall be constituted to make recommendations to the Executive Council for the appointment and promotion of teachers and staff of the University:-

(a) Person appointed by the Chancellor – Chairman

(b) Member, Public Service Commission – Member

(c) One member from among the professors

(2) A committee consisting of two members of the Assembly will be formed from the Vice-Chancellor under the chairmanship of the Vice-Chancellor to recommend for the appointment of the Chairman and the members as per clauses (a) and (c) of sub-section (1). And on the recommendation of that committee, the chairman and members will be appointed by the chancellor.

(3) The term of office of the chairman and members appointed according to sub-section (2) will be three years.

(4) Other work of the service commission, Duties and rights and meeting procedures shall be as prescribed.

(5) The remuneration, facilities and other conditions of service of the Chairman of the Service Commission and the facilities of the members shall be as prescribed.
